Yes. Reading Forest uses data encryption, regular backups, and SSL communication. You can choose between local storage and cloud storage, and your data is safely protected.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. In local storage mode, you can view and edit your records without an internet connection. Once back online, you can save to or load from Google Drive.

Can I use it on multiple devices?

Yes. It works on any device with a browser, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Save to Google Drive to access your data from any device.

Can I record my own notes?

Yes. Reading Forest lets you freely record notes for each book. Save impressions, summaries, quotes, and insights organized by date, and search them later for review.

How is reading progress visualized?

Reading Forest automatically calculates progress from pages read vs total pages, displaying it visually with progress bars and graphs. You can record which sections you've read and manage multiple reading sessions.

What's the difference between free and paid plans?

The free plan allows recording up to 20 books (works) per file, with unlimited number of files. Paid plans (Personal Plan at 380 yen/month) add unlimited books (works) per file, cloud storage, automatic backups, and more features.

Can I log movies, TV shows, and anime too?

Yes. Reading Forest records not only books but also movies, TV shows, and anime. You can keep credits such as director and cast, the runtime, the date you watched, star ratings, and impression notes — just like you do for books. TV series and anime can be logged by series or episode by episode, and you can search streaming, rental, and review sites.
