Notes for Firefox and Safari Users

Firefox and Safari block third-party cookies by default for privacy protection. As a result, Google login and Google Drive integration may not work properly.

You may be able to resolve this by allowing third-party cookies in your browser settings:

  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Set to "Custom" → Set Cookies to anything other than "All third-party cookies"
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Uncheck "Prevent cross-site tracking"

Firefox and Safari do not support the File System Access API, so the following features are unavailable:

  • Bookshelf feature (local file history) - View and manage history of recently opened local files
  • Delete local files - Delete local files directly from the app
  • Save to a selected folder - Choose your own save destination folder
  • Choose save location for local save - Cannot select save location; files are saved to the Downloads folder only
  • Choose save location for "Save to separate file" - Cannot select save location when exporting selected books to a separate file (※ Saving to Downloads folder is still possible)

For the full feature set, we recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Internet Explorer Not Supported

Internet Explorer (IE) is no longer supported by Microsoft and poses security risks. Reading Forest does not support IE. We recommend using Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based).
