What is Device Management

Reading Forest allows you to use the app on multiple devices

Multi-Device Support

Reading Forest allows you to log in and use from multiple devices such as PCs, tablets, and smartphones.
However, the number of devices that can be registered simultaneously varies by subscription plan.

Plan Registered Devices Allowed
Free Plan Up to 2 devices
Personal Plan Up to 5 devices
Group Plan Up to 5 devices per member
Automatic Device Registration
When you log in from a new device, it is automatically registered.
If you've reached the limit, please delete an existing device before logging in from a new one.

Opening Device Settings

Select the "Devices" tab from the settings screen

1 Click the Settings Icon

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

2 Select "Devices" Tab

Once the settings screen opens, select "Devices" from the tab menu on the left side.

Viewing Registered Devices

View currently registered devices

Device List

When you open the "Devices" tab, all devices registered to your account are displayed in a list.
The device you're currently using displays a "This Device" badge.

Information Displayed

  • Device Type - PC, tablet, smartphone shown with icons
  • OS & Browser - OS name and browser name being used
  • Last Access Date/Time - When the device last accessed
  • Current Device - The device you're currently using displays a "This Device" badge

Removing Devices

Unregister devices you no longer need

When Removal is Needed

  • Device registration limit has been reached
  • No longer using an old device
  • Want to stop access from a lost device
  • Want to remove a device that may have been used by someone else

1 Find the Device to Remove

Find the device you want to remove from the device list.
Use the last access date/time to identify unused devices.

2 Click the Delete Button

Click the delete button on the right side of the device you want to remove.

3 Select "Delete" in Confirmation Dialog

A confirmation dialog will appear. Click the "Delete" button to confirm the removal.

Cannot Delete Current Device
You cannot delete the device you're currently accessing (the one showing "This Device").
To delete this device, log in from a different device to perform the operation.
Device Removal for Security
If you've lost a device or suspect unauthorized access, delete that device immediately.
Deleted devices will be automatically logged out.

When Limit is Reached

What to do when device registration limit is reached

When New Login is Blocked

If you try to log in from a new device when the device registration limit has been reached,
an error message "Device registration limit reached" will be displayed.

1 Log In from an Existing Device

Log in from a device that's already registered (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

2 Open Device Settings

Go to Settings → Devices tab.

3 Remove Unnecessary Devices

Delete one or more devices that you no longer use.

4 Log In from New Device

Once deletion is complete, log in again from the new device.
The new device will be automatically registered.

To Increase the Limit
If you want to use more devices, consider upgrading to a paid plan.
You can upgrade from Free Plan (2 devices) → Personal Plan (5 devices).
