You can open all file formats supported by Reading Forest from Google Drive, including PDF, TXT, HTML, and more.
Connecting to Google Drive
Start connecting with Google Drive
1 Open Settings
Click the gear icon in the upper right corner to open the settings screen.
2 Select the "Cloud" Tab
Select "Cloud" from the tab menu on the left side.
3 Click "Connect to Google Drive" Button
Click the "Connect to Google Drive" button in the Cloud tab.
4 Sign in with Google Account
The Google sign-in screen will appear. Select or sign in with the Google account you want to use.
5 Approve Access Permission
You will be asked to grant Reading Forest permission to access Google Drive.
Click "Allow" to approve the access.
6 Connection Complete
Once connected, the connection status will be displayed in the Cloud tab.
You're now ready to open books from Google Drive.
Reading Forest only requests permission to read files in your Google Drive.
It does not delete or modify your files. You can use it with peace of mind.
Opening Files from Google Drive
How to open books from Google Drive after connecting
1 Click Open File Button
Click the "Open File" button in the upper left corner.
2 Select "Google Drive"
Select the "Google Drive" tab in the file selection dialog.
3 Navigate Folders and Select File
Your Google Drive folder structure will be displayed.
Click folders to open them and select the file you want to read.
4 Open the File
Select a file and click the "Open" button to display the book in the viewer.
Creating a dedicated folder for Reading Forest in Google Drive makes book management easier.
Example: "My Drive" → "Reading Forest" → "Novels", "Technical Books", etc.

How to disconnect from Google Drive
When You Need to Disconnect
1 Open Cloud Tab
Open the "Cloud" tab in the settings screen.
2 Click "Disconnect" Button
Click the "Disconnect" button below the connection status.
3 Confirm Disconnection
A confirmation dialog will appear. Click "Disconnect" to confirm the disconnection.
Even after disconnecting, you can reconnect anytime using the "Connect to Google Drive" button.
Files in your Google Drive will not be affected.
