Display Language
Change the app's display language
Select Language
Select your preferred language from the "Display Language" dropdown.
Language settings are saved on your device and will be retained on your next login.
Color Theme
Customize the app's color scheme for comfortable viewing
Available Themes
Reading Forest offers 2 color themes.
1 Open Settings Dialog
Select [File] → [Settings] from the menu bar.
2 Select Appearance Tab
Click the "Appearance" tab in the settings dialog.
3 Select Your Preferred Theme
Select Light or Dark from the "Color Theme" dropdown.
The theme is applied immediately.
Selected themes are applied immediately to the main screen. Choose your preferred theme.
Font Settings
Change text style and size
Font Family
Select a readable font style.
Font Size
Adjust the text size.
Display Options
Customize how the screen displays
Show Cover Images
Set whether to display book cover images.
Turning off provides a simpler list view.
Book Display Filters
Filter which books are displayed in the list based on reading progress.
Reading Records Display
Configure how reading records (notes and reading dates) are displayed.
Progress Filter
Specify a progress percentage range to filter displayed books.
For example, setting "90% to 100%" shows only nearly finished books.
Tooltip Display
Settings for hints that appear when hovering over buttons
What are Tooltips
Tooltips are small pop-up hints that appear when you hover your mouse cursor over buttons or icons, explaining their functions.
It's convenient to keep them on if you're not familiar with the operations.
First-time users should keep this on to easily understand each button's function.
Once you're familiar with the operations, you can turn it off for a cleaner interface.
Bookshelf Feature
Manage your reading notes and access them quickly (paid plans only)
Feature Overview
When this feature is enabled, your file history is saved to the bookshelf for one-click access.
This is convenient when frequently switching between multiple files.
This feature uses the File System Access API and is only available in certain browsers like Chrome and Edge.
Safari and Firefox are currently not supported.
