Create Your Reading Notes

Record your thoughts and notes on books you've read in Reading Forest

What is Create New?

"Create New" is a feature that creates a new empty reading notes file. It closes the currently open file and starts fresh with no books registered. If there are unsaved changes, a dialog will prompt you to save.

You can freely add your favorite books to the newly created reading notes.

State After Login
Normally, when you first log in to Reading Forest, you are already in the same state as after using "Create New" (an empty reading notes file). You can start adding books right away.

Tips and Notes

Don't Forget to Save
Be sure to save your reading notes after adding books. Use [File] → [Save] → [Local] or [Save] → [Cloud] to save.
File Naming Tips
Give your files descriptive names like "2026_Reading_Records" or "Technical_Books_Notes" so you can easily identify them later.
About Files Being Edited
Creating a new file will close the currently open file. If there are unsaved changes, a dialog will prompt you to save, so save if needed before creating a new file.
