How to Save
Save from Menu
File → Local → Save
Keyboard Shortcut
Ctrl + S (Mac: ⌘ + S)
Basic Save Flow
The basic save flow is as follows:
- Click "File" → "Local" → "Save" (or press Ctrl + S, Mac: ⌘ + S)
- First time only: A folder selection dialog appears to choose the destination folder
- Enter the filename and click "Save"
Due to browser security specifications, you must select a folder when saving for the first time after each login (or browser restart). This is an important security measure to prevent websites from accessing files on your computer without permission. Once you select a folder, you won't need to select it again during the same session.
The behavior varies depending on your device and browser. See "Save Instructions by OS/Browser" below for details.
Save Dialog Examples
Step 1: Folder Selection Dialog (First Time Only)
On your first save (or first save after login), a folder selection dialog appears first.
Step 2: Filename Input Dialog
After selecting a folder (or on subsequent saves), a filename input dialog appears.

* The .rfnote extension is added automatically
