Database Search is a feature that allows you to search external databases like Amazon, WorldCat, and Google Books using the book's title and author name.
You can retrieve detailed book information, check library holdings, or find where to purchase books.

How to Use
Method 1: From Right-Click Menu
- Select a Book Click on the book you want to search for.
- Open Right-Click Menu Right-click on the selected book to display the context menu.
- Select "Database Search" Hover over "Database Search" in the menu to display the list of databases.
- Click a Database Click the database you want to search (Amazon, WorldCat, etc.).
- View Results in New Window The selected site opens in a new window with search results based on the book title and author.
Method 2: From Menu Bar
- Select a Book Click on the book you want to search for.
- Open Menu Select [Edit] → [Database Search] from the menu bar.
- Choose a Database Select the database you want to search from the displayed menu.
If you select Database Search without selecting a book, the ISBN search dialog will open. You can also retrieve book information by entering an ISBN.

Notes
An internet connection is required to use the database search feature.
It cannot be used in offline environments.
If your browser's popup blocker is enabled, search results may not open.
Please allow popups from "Reading Forest".
Searches are based on book title and author name. If multiple books have the same title or if the title format differs, the correct book may not be found.
