Browser Common Shortcuts

These are standard browser shortcuts, not specific to Reading Forest. They work on other websites as well.

The following shortcuts are browser features. Reading Forest cannot control them, so behavior may vary between browsers.
Shortcut Action
F11 Toggle fullscreen (press F11 again to exit)
F5 or Ctrl+R Reload page (unsaved data may be lost)
Ctrl+Shift+R Hard reload (ignore cache)
Alt+ Go back (browser history)
Alt+ Go forward (browser history)
Ctrl+T Open new tab
Ctrl+W Close current tab
Ctrl+Tab Switch to next tab
Ctrl+Shift+Tab Switch to previous tab
Ctrl+L Focus address bar (in Reading Forest: Book List)
Warning
Using F5 or Alt+ may cause unsaved edits to be lost. Reading Forest has an auto-backup feature, but we recommend saving important data frequently with Ctrl+S.
