What is Find and Replace?

"Find and Replace" is a feature that searches for specific text in a book and replaces it with different text.
It's useful when editing notes or annotations, such as when you want to change the same word all at once.

About Scope
The find and replace feature works on user-editable text such as notes, annotations, and bookmark titles.
The main body text cannot be modified (read-only).

Opening the Replace Panel

Shortcut Key
Press Ctrl+H (Mac: +H) to open the replace panel.
  1. Press Ctrl+H with a book open When you press the shortcut key while reading a book, the find and replace panel appears.
  2. Or expand from the search panel After opening the search panel with Ctrl+F, you can also click the "Replace" button.

Basic Usage

Replacing Individually

  1. Enter the search text Enter the text you want to replace in the "Find" field.
  2. Enter the replacement text Enter the replacement text in the "Replace" field.
  3. Click "Find Next" The first match will be highlighted.
  4. Click "Replace" button to execute replacement The currently highlighted match is replaced and moves to the next result.
    If you don't want to replace, click "Find Next" to skip.

Replacing All at Once

  1. Enter the search text and replacement text Fill in both fields as above.
  2. Click "Replace All" A confirmation dialog appears showing the number of replacements.
  3. Click "OK" to execute bulk replacement All search results are replaced at once.

Caution with Replace All
When you execute "Replace All", all matches are replaced.
Please review the search results carefully before executing.

Notes

Body Text Cannot Be Replaced
PDF body text is read-only and cannot be replaced.
Only user-editable text such as notes, annotations, and bookmark titles can be replaced.
About Replace History
Even after bulk replacement, you can undo with Ctrl+Z.
However, please note that the history is cleared when you close the app.
