How to Zoom the Screen

Reading Forest uses your browser's standard zoom feature to enlarge or reduce the screen.
Use this when text is too small to read or when you want to see the entire screen at once.

PC Controls

Ctrl + + (Plus) Zoom In (Enlarge)
Ctrl + - (Minus) Zoom Out (Reduce)
Ctrl + 0 (Zero) Reset Zoom (Return to 100%)
Ctrl + Mouse Wheel Scroll up to zoom in, scroll down to zoom out

For Mac Users:
Use Command (⌘) instead of Ctrl.
Example: Command + + to zoom in

Smartphone/Tablet Controls

Pinch Out (Spread two fingers) Zoom In (Enlarge)
Pinch In (Pinch two fingers) Zoom Out (Reduce)
Double Tap Zoom in on that spot (tap again to return)

You can also change zoom from the browser menu

In addition to keyboard and touch controls, you can change the zoom level from your browser's menu:

  • Chrome: Menu (⋮) in top right → "Zoom"
  • Firefox: Menu (≡) in top right → "Zoom"
  • Safari: "View" in menu bar → "Zoom In/Out"
  • Edge: Menu (…) in top right → "Zoom"

Paid Plans Only: Fine-grained Font Size Adjustment

Users on Personal Plan or higher can adjust font size in 4 levels (Small, Standard, Large, Extra Large) from the Settings screen, in addition to browser zoom.
Line spacing and margins can also be adjusted in 3 levels (Compact, Standard, Relaxed).

  • Extreme zoom levels may cause layout issues
  • To reset zoom, press Ctrl + 0 (Mac: Command + 0)
