In Reading Forest, you can move book data from one reading note (.rfnote file) to another. The available methods vary depending on your plan.

This method saves selected books to a separate file and inserts them into the destination reading note.
Steps

Select Books
Open the source reading note and click the checkboxes of the books you want to move.
Ctrl+click for multiple selection, Shift+click for range selection

Save to Separate File
Click the "Save to Separate File" button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Specify the destination and filename to save.

Open Destination Reading Note
Open the reading note where you want to move the books in another tab or window.

Insert File
Select [File] → [Insert File] from the menu bar.
Select the file you saved earlier to insert the books.

Delete from Original (Optional)
Delete the moved books from the source reading note.
* Skip this step if you want to keep them as copies

Save Both Files
Save both the source and destination reading notes to complete.
Tip
This method also serves as a backup, making it a safe choice when moving a large number of books.
This method uses the clipboard to quickly copy books between tabs. The books remain in the original reading note.
Steps

Open Two Tabs
Open two browser tabs and log in to Reading Forest in each.
Tab 1: Source reading note
Tab 2: Destination reading note

Select Books
In Tab 1, click the checkboxes of the books you want to move.
Ctrl+click for multiple selection

Copy
Click the "Copy" button in the toolbar, or
Ctrl+C (Mac: Cmd+C)

Paste to Destination
Switch to Tab 2 and
Ctrl+V (Mac: Cmd+V)
to paste.

Save Both Files
Save both reading notes as needed.
Safe Copy
Copy leaves the original data intact, so you can operate with peace of mind. After confirming the move is complete, manually delete from the original reading note.
This method cuts selected books and pastes them into another reading note. They are removed from the original simultaneously.
Steps

Open two browser tabs and log in to Reading Forest in each.

In the source tab, click the checkboxes of the books you want to move.

Cut
Click the "Cut" button in the toolbar, or
Ctrl+X (Mac: Cmd+X)
* At this point, the books are removed from the original reading note

Switch to the destination tab and
Ctrl+V (Mac: Cmd+V)

Save Both Files
Save both reading notes to complete.
Warning
If you close the browser after cutting without pasting, book data may be lost. If concerned, use "Copy" instead and manually delete after confirming the move is complete.
Note that cut operations can be undone with "Undo" (Ctrl+Z).
