Reading Forest offers two backup methods. First is saving to a local file (Ctrl+S or 'Save' from menu), second is saving to Google Drive. Saving to Google Drive allows you to access your data from multiple devices.

Method 1: Save to Local File

Save your data as a file on your computer or smartphone.

Select "File" > "Save" from the menu at the top
Choose where to save and click "Save"
The file will be downloaded

Method 2: Save to Google Drive (Recommended)

Save to the cloud with your Google account and access from multiple devices.

Select "Save to Google Drive" from the menu at the top
Log in with your Google account
Choose the destination folder and save
