What is YouTube Mini Player
The YouTube Mini Player lets you play YouTube URLs written in your notes directly within the app. You can watch videos inside Reading Forest without opening a browser.
How to Use
Here is how to use the YouTube Mini Player.
Steps
- 1. Paste a YouTube URL
Paste a YouTube URL into the notes field of a record - 2. Automatic title display
In view mode, the URL is automatically replaced with the video title - 3. Play in Mini Player
Click the YouTube icon to start playback in the mini player - 4. Open YouTube site
Click the title to open the YouTube site
Continuous Playback
When a single record contains multiple YouTube URLs, you can play them all in sequence.
- Continuous play button
When a record has multiple YouTube URLs, a "▶ (number)" button appears in the date column - Play all in order
Click the button to play all tracks in sequence
Mini Player Controls
The mini player provides the following controls.
- Play / Pause
Toggle between playing and pausing the video - Next / Previous
Skip to the next or previous track - Loop playback
Toggle repeat all tracks ON/OFF - Playlist view
Display a playlist with track titles and thumbnails - Drag to move
Drag the header area to move the player to any position - Close
Click the x button to close the mini player
Playlist Expansion
Paste a YouTube playlist URL into your notes to expand it into individual videos.
- Expand button
When you paste a playlist URL (a URL containing list=) into your notes, an "Expand" button appears - Expand all tracks
Click the button to expand all tracks in the playlist into individual URLs in your notes - Play individually
After expansion, each track can be played individually
Useful Tips
- Expand your favorite playlists so you can select and play only the tracks you want to listen to
- Register a reading BGM playlist in your notes and enjoy reading with continuous playback
