Deleting Records

How to delete records or books you no longer need.

Deleting Quotes & Notes One by One

  1. (or ) the record you want to delete
    This opens the edit dialog.
  2. Click the "Delete" button
    Click the delete button in the dialog.
  3. Select "Delete" in the confirmation dialog
    A confirmation message appears; click "Delete" to confirm.

Deleting Multiple Record Rows

  1. Select the record rows you want to delete
    Click a record row to select it. Use Ctrl+Click to toggle individual records, or Shift+Click to select a range.
  2. Press the Delete key, or delete from the menu
    Press the Delete key on your keyboard, or select [Edit] > [Delete (Records)] from the menu bar.
  3. Select [OK] in the confirmation dialog
    A confirmation message appears; click [OK] to confirm.

Deleting Books

  1. Select the books you want to delete
    Click anywhere on the book card to select it. You can also click areas outside the checkbox to select. Use Ctrl+Click to select multiple books, or Shift+Click to select a range.
  2. Press the Delete key, or delete from the menu
    Press the Delete key on your keyboard, or select [Edit] > [Delete] from the menu bar.
  3. Select [OK] in the confirmation dialog
    A confirmation message appears; click [OK] to confirm.

Undo

Delete operations can be undone with Ctrl+Z. If you accidentally delete something, you can restore it immediately.

Warning

Deleting a book will also delete all quotes and notes associated with that book.
