📋 Reading Forest Beta Tester Terms

These terms apply to those participating in the Reading Forest beta test. By registering, you agree to these terms.

Article 1: Definitions

  1. The Service: The web application provided by Reading Forest (https://www.allisone.co.jp/tools/rf/)
  2. Beta Test: Trial operation conducted before official release. Its purpose is to discover and fix bugs in the application, and to correct inconsistencies and improve HTML pages
  3. Beta Tester: A person who agrees to these terms and participates in the beta test
  4. Operator: Allisone Inc.
  5. Feedback: Bug reports, improvement suggestions, user experience reports, questions, and other submissions

Article 2: Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirement

Participation in the beta test is limited to those 13 years of age or older. Those under 13 cannot participate.

2.2 Email Verification

Beta tester registration requires verification of a valid email address. Please click the link in the confirmation email sent during registration to verify your email address. You will not be able to log in until email verification is complete.

2.3 Number of Participants

We plan to recruit approximately 10-30 beta testers. If there are many applicants, the operator may select participants at their discretion.

4.1 Basic Benefits (All Participants)

4.2 Top Contributor Benefits

At the end of beta testing, the top 5-10 contributors by score will receive a 3,000 yen Amazon gift card.

4.3 Credits Listing (Optional)

Those with a contribution score of 50pt or more can apply to have their name listed in the credits (contributor list) at official release.

4.4 Benefits After Official Release (All Participants)

If you upgrade to a paid plan within 7 days after your 1-year free period ends, you'll receive a permanent 20% discount.

We comprehensively evaluate the quality and quantity of feedback:

Article 6: Beta Tester Roles and Obligations

We welcome you even if you just use the app. However, Amazon gift cards are awarded based on contribution score.

6.2 Encouraged Activities (Word of Mouth Welcome)

Feedback submitted by beta testers will be handled as follows:

Copyright of feedback belongs to the beta tester, but the operator has the right to use it for the following purposes:

Beta testers' personal information is managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Article 9: Disclaimer

9.1 Nature of Beta Testing

This service is a beta version. Please note the following:

⚠️ Please back up your data

During beta testing, there is a risk of data corruption or loss due to bugs.
We strongly recommend regularly downloading and backing up your reading notes.
In the event of data loss, the operator cannot guarantee data recovery.

📌 About Automatic Backup

Reading Forest automatically backs up your editing data to your browser 5 minutes after your last edit.
Backups are also created when you switch tabs, minimize the window, or close the page.
If the app crashes unexpectedly, you will see a prompt asking "Previous session data found. Restore this data?" on the next launch.
However, this automatic backup is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Also, it cannot be restored after clearing browser data or from a different browser, so we recommend manual download saves.

9.2 Operator's Liability

The operator is not liable for the following damages arising from beta testing:

Article 10: Suspension and Termination of Beta Test

10.1 Termination by Operator

The operator may suspend or terminate the beta test in the following cases:

10.2 Withdrawal by Beta Tester

Beta testers can withdraw at any time by contacting the operator. Benefits will be invalidated upon withdrawal.

Article 11: Transition After Official Release

11.1 Free Period

All features are free for 1 year from the beta test participation date (no ads).

11.2 Transition to Paid Plans

After the free period ends, you can choose one of the following:

💡 Beta Tester Exclusive: Permanent 20% Discount
If you upgrade to a paid plan within 7 days after your free period ends, you'll receive a permanent 20% discount.
No automatic billing
After the free period ends, you will not be charged unless you explicitly choose a paid plan.

Article 12: Changes to Terms

The operator may change these terms as necessary. Beta testers will be notified by email when changes are made.

Article 13: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Saitama District Court as the court of first instance.
